Crombie Air Force Coat

Updated: Mar 18, 2018

From the Crombie website:

Crombie’s Iconic Greatcoat is an authentic recreation of a Second World War military coat from the Crombie archives, a coat that was supplied to the War Office for officers of the armed forces. The substantial piece offers a long, elegant silhouette, with wide wrap-over lapels, strong masculine shoulders with traditional epaulettes, double-breasted fastening, waist suppression, and is half-lined in a soft-brushed jersey. Exceptional detailing completes the traditional aesthetic, with handcrafted metal buttons emblazoned with the Crombie crest and raw wool cloth discovered in a mill in Yorkshire, faithfully replicated in the original military Air Force Blue hue.

Been eyeing this coat for a long time. I am not a pilot and cockpits are heated nowadays :) yet I am so happy with this coat from Crombie. This is a wonderful, heavy cut coat with beautiful finishings including epaulettes, brass buttons and a comfortable double- breasted fit.

Sizing: I recommend taking one size below your regular coat size if you intend to wear it as a coat and your size as an overcoat.

Can't wait for colder weather to wear it again!

Crofton and Hall UK are also a reseller of Crombie coats, have an excellent Customer Service team and if you wish to take a look you will find it here
